TLCC News Summary 2009

Seasons Greetings, and we'll see you again at our meetings and coin shows in 2010!

Holiday Extravaganza! The TLCC's December 1 monthly meeting continued the tradition of a holiday party catered by TLCC members Bonnie and Mike Zagorin. The food is always excellent!!

Coin Show! The TLCC hosted its 42nd semi-annual coin show October 3-4 in south Tacoma. The next show is scheduled for March 13-14, 2010 at the same location.

Puyallup Fair! The TLCC was one of several coin clubs assisting the PNNA with the coin table at the Puyallup Fair Hobby Hall, September 11-27.

No July meeting! – The TLCC had no July meeting this year. (The summer social held in previous years was cancelled this year due to declining attendance.) We'll see you in August and September!

It's Over! We hope you didn't miss out on some exciting events, including the ANA National Money Show in Portland, Oregon (March 13-15, 2009), which a number of TLCC members attended! This show was preceded by a "Pre-Show" run by Dave Schmidt March 10-11 near the Portland Airport, and by the TLCC's own coin show March 7-8 at the King Oscar Convention Center in Tacoma.

Reminder – Due to the ANA show in Portland, TLCC annual grant applications were due by February 17, however this deadline was extended until the April 21 business meeting. Please submit applications at a club meeting or to the club's address listed on the home page. (Now you'll have to wait until next year!)

The March 3 meeting program was "Anything But Coins." (Members were asked to bring a show-and-tell item relating to a non-numismatic hobby.)
