Club Meetings! New location (and meeting day) beginning June 2022 - 3rd Thursday (not Tuesday) at the American Legion Post #2 at 11204 Park Avenue South in Tacoma. Coin Shows! The club held a one-day show on Saturday, September 10, 2022 in Tacoma. The club is tentatively planning two coin shows in 2023, one in March and one in September (see the TLCC coin show webpage for details). |
2022 Meeting Programs: |
The December 15, 2022 club meeting at the American Legion Post #2 featured the annual holiday banquet, with a special prime rib dinner. The program for the November 17, 2022 club meeting was to have been announced, and a club election for 2023 officers was planned. The program for the October 20, 2022 club meeting was to have been announced, and also may have included a report on the recently completed Washington State Fair in Puyallup. The program for the September 15, 2022 club meeting was to have been announced. In addition, the meeting likely featured a report on the successful coin show held the previous Saturday (September 10). The August 18, 2022 club meeting was the club's second on its new Thursday meeting date, at its new meeting location, the American Legion Post #2 in Tacoma. The program was a quiz with a prize for the most correct answers. The special Saturday, July 30, 2022 club meeting was a private event; club members received an invitation. The June 16, 2022 club meeting was the club's first on its new Thursday meeting date, at its new meeting location, the American Legion Post #2 in Tacoma. Refreshments were available. The May 17, 2022 club meeting was a dinner meeting at Bur’s Restaurant in Lakewood. The program was a display of some graded banknotes. The April 19, 2022 club meeting was a dinner meeting at Bur’s Restaurant in Lakewood. The program was a report on the ANA National Money Show in Colorado Springs. The March 15, 2022 club meeting was a dinner meeting at Bur’s Restaurant in Lakewood. Speaker Dan Duncan of Pinnacle Rarities discussed the state of the numismatic industry. (Delayed from January.) The February 15, 2022 club meeting was a dinner meeting at Bur’s Restaurant in Lakewood. No speaker was planned. The January 18, 2022 club meeting was held on Zoom. Participation was good, and there was some interesting discussion and "show and tell," however the planned program was postponed.
