Does the TLCC have a library?
Yes. The contents of the Tacoma-Lakewood Coin Club library are listed below. There are books covering a wide variety of numismatic topics including U.S. and world coins and paper money, grading and counterfeit detection, investing, and even a copy of the ANA’s History in Your Hands video. (You might need an old VCR player for that one, but the video is also available online.)
How do I borrow the books?
Currently the club president also maintains the library and can bring books to club meetings on request to be borrowed by club members. Members should return books within one to two months unless approved for longer.
Can I donate books or other library materials?
Yes, donations of numismatic material including books to the club are welcome, although the club decides whether the items donated will be retained, sold or re-donated to another library or organization, unless otherwise approved in writing.
Where else can I search for numismatic literature?
There are many possibilities, but two of the most comprehensive are the American Numismatic Association (ANA) and the Newman Numismatic Portal (NNP). For complete access to ANA materials, a low-cost membership will be required.
