December 2005 Holiday Party – The TLCC's December 6 monthly meeting continued the tradition of a holiday party catered by TLCC members Bonnie and Mike Zagorin. The food was excellent! Season's Greetings!!

"World Paper Money" was the topic of discussion at the November 1 TLCC general meeting. This was a question-and-answer session led by paper money specialist Bill Henderson.

Coin Show! TACOMA-LAKEWOOD COIN CLUB 34TH SEMI-ANNUAL SHOW – The TLCC's 34th Semi-Annual Coin Show was held October 15-16, 2005 at the King Oscar Convention Center in South Tacoma.

"Grading Services" was the topic of discussion at the TLCC's October 4 monthly meeting. TLCC members learned about the different services available and how they compare. The discussion was led by TLCC President Dave Schmidt, along with Ron Ahre. Hope you didn't miss this one!

It's Over! Puyallup Fair September 9-25 – The PNNA sponsored the annual coin exhibit in the Hobby Hall, with assistance from several local coin clubs, including the TLCC. We had handouts including magazines, event calendars, a coin club list, wooden nickels and coins for junior collectors!

A TLCC Regular Monthly Meeting was held on Tuesday, September 6. This was our first meeting of the new fall season, and we enjoyed a talk on "Paper Money" by club members Ken Fialkowski and Frank Benedict. Come join us next month for fun and excitement!

ANA/CNA Reports – At the August 2 TLCC meeting, Rick Schulz reported on the CNA convention in Calgary, Alberta, and Ron Ahre and Eric Holcomb reported on the ANA convention in San Francisco.

The TLCC Business Meeting and Summer Social was held July 19 at the Schmidt residence. Club members received an invitation with the July newsletter.

May Grading Program – At the May 3, 2005 TLCC monthly meeting, members and guests had the opportunity to view slides of 10 different U.S. coins (including the 1831 large cent shown here), with a discussion about how the coins are graded led by Norm Mikat and Ron Ahre.

Congratulations to TLCC annual grant winners Ron Ahre, Rick Schulz and Eric Holcomb. Ron and Eric will attend the ANA convention, and Rick the CNA event. Both events are in July.

"How to Shop a Coin Show" was the topic of discussion at the TLCC's April 5 monthly meeting. The discussion was led by experienced coin dealer and TLCC President Dave Schmidt. Hope you didn't miss this one! You're now all set for the TLCC October show and the PNNA/ANA shows!

"eBay® Buying and Selling" was the topic of discussion at the TLCC's monthly meeting on Tuesday, March 1.

Bank of America VP talk – At the February 1 TLCC monthly meeting, Greg Ashe, VP of Bank of America, Global Treasury Management, spoke on the topic of "The Changing US Payment Landscape – The train has left the station – An electronic banking discussion." It was quite interesting!

HAPPY NEW YEAR! — The TLCC kicked off the new year with its regular monthly meeting on Tuesday, January 4, 2005. The program was given by coin dealer Todd Imhof of Pinnacle Rarities.
